03/23/2010 - A Taste of Seder
Plan on joining us for this joint congregational event being hosted with our neighboring synagogue, Etz Hayim, in Fellowship Hall. The Seder is an intergenerational family ritual that retells the story of the Exodus from Egypt and is an important part of our history as Christians. This event will take the place of our “Tuesday night dinner” on that night. and is appropriate for people of all ages. Bi-lingual translation will be available. Cost is $6 per adult and $3 per child (ages 10 and younger), with a maximum of $20 per family. Come and enrich your faith!  Details
04/01/2010 - Maundy Thursday Service
This service will be held at The Hermitage and will remember the supper Jesus shared in the Upper Room with his disciples before his crucifixion. Come for worship and stay for lunch as we fellowship with one another and the residents of the community. RSVP for lunch by calling the church office or sign up in worship on your Care Card. Details
04/02/2010 - Good Friday Service
This service will intersperse scripture readings with prayers, drama, congregational hymns, and special music offered by our Anniversary Choir, which is made up of members of all four faith communities at Arlington UMC. Enter into the pain of Jesus’ sacrifice that you might experience the abundant joy of his resurrection on Easter morning. Details

When asked by the Scribes, “Which is the greatest commandment?” in Mark 12:30, Jesus answered, “The first of all the commandments is this: Hear, O Israel, The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” So, what does it mean to love God with one’s whole mind?
