A Growing Community of Young Adults

Young adults moving into the area will find other young adults at AUMC involved in every aspect of the church's ministry -- music, arts, outreach, Bible study, and fellowship.  Most of the church's young adults are between the ages of 25 and 40 years old -- and are in various stages of life.  Many are single, some are newly married, others are just starting a family.  Most are professional and have come to the area because of employment opportunities, while others have been born and raised here Young mom and daughterin Arlington County. Newcomers will find the community is an extended family of all generations and for those who are far away from their hometown family and friends, many have discovered the church is a much needed "home away from home".

If you are a young adult, you are encouraged to join us for worship on Sunday mornings, either at 9:00 am for a more contemporary experience or at 11:00 am for a more traditional service.  At either time, you will find a warm and friendly community.  It is not uncommon for folks to join one another for lunch after the later service or for "impromptu" plans to be made during the week to see a movie, serve together, or participate in one of the many opportunities for study and discussion.

And, if you would find a one on one conversation helpful in getting to know the community better, Pastor Wes is always open for enjoying a lively conversation over a cup of coffee -- just email him and he'll be happy to set up a time to meet that is convenient for you.

Come, and get plugged into what God is doing through this dynamic ministry!

If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free.John 8:31 - 32
