Discover More Friends & More Faith Tuesday Nights!
The Discipleship Team, spear-headed by our Lay Leader Donna Pomsouvan, has been hard at work to create a plan for Tuesday evenings. The launch this past fall was a great success as 35 - 40 adults came out weekly on Tuesday evenings. Building on this success, we will continue this fall with a variety of small group gatherings in both Enlish and Spanish on Tuesday evenings:
An alternative class will also be offered in the Art Studio and children of all ages gather in the Choir Room for the Kids Club Choir. The beauty of Arlington UMC is that people come to this church from a variety of experiences and levels of spiritual maturity. That’s why we’re seeking to expand our current discipleship opportunities to help everyone find a place to grow. Whatever your starting point, there are just two things you need to know: 1) You are always welcome; and, 2) God wants you to be growing in your faith.
Why don’t you set aside Tuesday evenings this fall as a time to come and experience new friends and the freedom of being a disciple!
How Do Tuesday Night Dinners Fit Into the Plan?
Tuesday night dinners are being designed as a time for connecting with other folks who are part of the Arlington UMC community in a more informal, casual atmosphere. Our hope is to serve a basic meal (fried chicken & mashed potatoes, spaghetti & salad, etc.) from 6—6:45 pm for a nominal fee. You will find an accepting, friendly environment to laugh and share with others while enjoying a wonderfully prepared dinner. Come and let somebody else fix dinner!
